Running with Squirrels

fostering dogs that need it most

The day it all started

Katie and I spent this past Sunday visiting the Jasmine’s House farm in Mt. Airy to learn a little more about fostering.  We really lucked out because not only did we get a chance to chat with some of their staff/volunteers, but we also were able to participate in one of their Sunday training sessions where foster parents, or anyone else who is interested, bring their dogs for an obedience/socialization session.  We spent about an hour working with one of the resident foster dogs, Gabby, and had a really great time!

At the end of the session, we decided that Jasmine’s House was the perfect organization for us to foster with and couldn’t wait to get started.  Lucky for us, the next day we got word that a little girl at BARCS was in desperate need of help.

Katie and I were so excited to bring Sweet Caroline into our home and show her the love that she deserves, but before we had the chance she found a family looking to add another pitty and was quickly adopted.  While we wish we had the opportunity to share our lives with Sweet Caroline as she starts this new and wonderful phase of her life, there is no better thought than knowing she will be with a family that loves her.  Congratulations to Sweet Caroline and her new forever family!
